On Thursday, November 29, from 7 pm to 7 am, the I-35 contractor will be shifting northbound main lane traffic into a new alignment. At the same time, the contractor will open the temporary northbound Exit #301 Central Ave. / Adams Ave.
The contractor will close the northbound frontage bridge, over the railroad, north of Ave. H at this time. This closure will allow the contractor to complete the northbound frontage from the bridge to Central Ave. along with building the new, permanent Exit #301. Those needing to enter northbound I-35 from the northbound frontage will U-turn at the railroad tracks to the southbound frontage then U-turn at Loop 363 and use the new entrance ramp just south of 57th St. Travelers on the east side of Temple can access northbound I-35 via 31st St. to Adams Ave. to the northbound frontage road. To facilitate the traffic shift work, one lane of I-35 southbound will close at Central Ave. / Adams Ave.
Travelers are encourage to seek alternate routes during this time. Travelers are encouraged to obey all warning and detour signs.
